Growing up I loved sport, exercise and generally being active! I have always been very passionate about health, fitness and wellbeing and love helping people. So, when I learnt about Exercise Physiology it seemed the perfect fit for me!  

I love the diversity that comes with my role. On the same day I can see a number of people across all different lifespans: young teenagers all the way to our more senior populations. There is variety too in what I am seeing them for, from a range of musculoskeletal and chronic health conditions, along with those who generally want to improve their strength and cardiovascular fitness.

The thing I find most rewarding about my job is the ability to closely guide and help people reach their full potential and lead their strongest, healthiest and happiest life. The pure joy you see in people’s faces when they achieve something they’ve worked so hard towards is an incredible feeling and something that drives me each and every day with my work. 

Of particular interest to me is working with older populations, more specifically within the realms of falls prevention, osteoarthritis and bone health. I love to educate people on the importance of remaining active throughout the lifespan in order to stay strong, mobile, independent and continue to experience a high quality of life. I also have a keen interest in health coaching and behavioural change in both the prevention and management of chronic health conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure. I am also Pilates trained and love the benefits this style of exercise can bring for people of all ages and genders.

Away from work I love keeping active! I am a keen runner, but also love hitting the gym, doing a Pilates class, along with getting outdoors and going hiking! I’m also a bit of a foodie. I love cooking and going out for a nice dinner or weekend brunch with family and friends.
