How long will my appointment take?

Our remedial massage appointments are either 60 minutes or 30 minutes. It is your choice! If you have a localised problem only then a 30 minute appointment can be just right. If your problem is a little more complicated, you have multiple areas of the body you want treated, or you just want to destress, then the 60 minute appointment is perfect.

What happens during my Massage appointment?

During your consultation your massage therapist will take a case history including past medical history.

They may do some physical examination including assessment of movement, flexibility and palpation of your muscles, tendons and joints.

You will then receive treatment and you may also be advised about posture, stretching, exercise or dietary advice to improve your body's health and function.

We are able to refer you to medical and other allied health providers if necessary.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Typically you will be asked to remove some items of clothing, sometimes down to your underwear. The room is always warm and regions of your body not being treated at the time will always be appropriately draped for your comfort.

Are any of the treatments covered by private health insurance?

People with 'extras' cover as part of their private health insurance are able to claim a portion of their treatment costs. We have the HICAPS facility so people with private health are able to claim on the spot and only pay the remaining gap. This fee varies with each insurance provider.
