Osteopathy with us

WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY?

Osteopaths are highly qualified allied health professionals who offer patient-centred approaches to healthcare, which recognise the important link between the structure of the body and the way it functions.

We focus on how your skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, circulation, connective tissue and internal organs function as one system.

Osteopaths use a range of approaches to help you including manual therapy (mobilisation, stretching, massage and manipulation), exercise therapy and programs, equipment prescription, lifestyle advice and education.

OUR DIFFERENCE

Our team of osteopaths have a wide range of expertise and special interests including common musculoskeletal problems such as lower back pain, neck pain, headaches and migraines. Some of us have a lot of experience treating pain associated with pregnancy, as well as the treatment of babies and children. Some of us are your go to expert for your sporting injuries, in particular running, rowing and cycling injuries. Wherever your pain, or whatever your problem, we’ve got the person to help you feel well again! Be sure to check out our TEAM page and find out who might be best to suit your needs.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT DURING YOUR APPOINTMENT

Osteopathy treatment can vary from quite firm and direct, to very gentle and indirect - all of this depends on YOU!  We want to know what has or hasn’t worked for you in the past, and what you’re comfortable with before we begin.

We’ll ask you about your current injury or pain and how it is affecting your life. We also allow plenty of time to go through your medical history. We like to find out about any co-existing health conditions, previous injuries, as well as your job, family and lifestyle. All of these things may play a role in how you feel and help inform us to provide you the individualised treatment and advice.

Depending on your practitioner and preference for particular styles of treatment, your osteo will work with you to find what works best for you.

Our initial osteo appointment times are 60 minutes.
